
Yaashvi Kedia is a conductor, pianist and educator, based in London. She completed her BA Music from Middlesex University, London (2024) and Diploma in Higher Education from KM Music Conservatory, Chennai (2022).
She is the founder and director of the project 'The Lost Woman' (2021), that aims as rediscovering classical music by women composers, to bridge the gender gap that exists in the world of classical music. She is also the co-director of the Middlesex Philharmonic Orchestra, an open instrumental ensemble at Middlesex University. In collaboration with Claire Loussouarn, a movement artist, she is running the project Anubhuti (2024), a unique and immersive sound-movement expiernece that brings together Indian classical music and unstylised movement improvisation.
While she is mastering her art through staples like Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony and Beethoven's Overture to Fidelio, she is always exploring new realms of music through undiscovered, as well as new music. She is currently assisting various conductors like Charlotte Corderoy and George Jackson.
She has been teaching piano since 2020, both in-person and online. She was the piano faculty in the preparatory department of KM Music Conservatory, Chennai. She has conducted choir workshops at KM Mumbai and Mumbai Music Insitiute, and a teach-training seminar at Furtados School of Music, Mumbai. Yaashvi has studied advanced music theory, analysis and history. She is currently researching on postmodernism in music, music by women composers and Latin American music.
Yaashvi leads with her strong work ethic, passion towards creating music and nurturing quality for her students.
